Celebrating Shop In Wonderland

More and more have come to recognize Japanese fashion in Houston, and it is in part due to a magical place called Shop In Wonderland.
As the boutique owner, I am proud of the diverse customers and fans of J-fashion that Shop In Wonderland has created. People can come in and look at, feel, and try on different Japanese apparel and accessories. With weekly live videos and monthly workshops, the boutique educates others on how to wear, style, and be comfortable in J-fashion. To be able to welcome loyal and new customers, and those inquisitive of the uniqueness of J-fashion at Shop In Wonderland this past year brings me much joy.

Recently the boutique celebrated its One Year Anniversary with an event called “The Grand Opera Tea Party”. Similar to fashion tea parties in Japan, Wonderland’s celebration was held at a beautiful venue with many activities for the guests to participate in. The 100 guests enjoyed afternoon tea service at Royal Oaks Country Club, a shopping experience, fun games, raffles, a fashion show, and lots of photo opportunities all while dressing up in formal, themed or Japanese Lolita fashion. It was indeed a fabulous looking bunch!

Shop In Wonderland is the largest Japanese fashion boutique in the United States, and the only one that officially carries six Japanese designer labels…and counting.

“There’s no place like Shop In Wonderland” – Many beloved customers and friends

Special thanks to the Shop In Wonderland staff, friends, models and sponsors of The Grand Opera Tea Party for the fun and memorable celebration!
Cheers to everyone supporting Japanese designs! Here’s to creating more opportunities to dress up in J-fashion!

XOXO,
Deneice

I really love the message that Shop in Wonderland is bringing out, that everyone should have confidence and live their passion in fashion– especially in JFASHION! I remember back then I would feel a little embarrassed about my outfit that I was so happy about when I look at it through the mirror at home, but in public I would feel uncomfortable. Now I feel myself slowly not caring so much on what everyone else thinks and to just completely love the outfit I put my heart into!

It was such a wonderful event! I’m so happy to been apart of it 😀 Seeing all the customers we helped at the shop find their dresses and WEARING them was such a giddy feeling. I was blown away by the amount of creativity they all had and it was great to mingle and talk to some of them. I wish I had taken more pictures but I’m glad to be able to see everyone enjoying the hard work we put in. Can’t wait for the next one!
