Have you ever asked anyone, “How did I do?” or “What do you think, was that okay?” I’m certain you have. I find myself asking others, even myself those types of questions often.
I believe it’s in our nature to desire validation. We all seek approval for what we’re doing.
If you have read the “About JFashionista” section of this site or know me personally, you’ll notice I take on many roles, and continue to challenge myself to do more.
Occasionally however, I’ll wonder if what I am doing is worth the headache and heartache. Does anyone care about the things I am saying? Is my advice any good?
If there is even one person out there that is able to understand, feel, or relate to what I am saying, doing or attempting to achieve, then the answer is yes. Yes, it’s worth the struggle.
I shouldn’t be so hard on myself, or doubt myself. If I try, and it doesn’t work, I’ll just have to try another way.
To attain validation, each of us must look within ourselves for the answer. Here’s how to start:
1. Ask yourself.
What is it you want to achieve?
2. Reflect.
Take time to seek yourself and what you truly value. FYI, this could take awhile.
3. Do
Go take care of yourself. Go be a better you.
What goals will you set for yourself?
