Set the Goal to Be a Better You

Have you ever asked anyone, “How did I do?” or “What do you think, was that okay?” I’m certain you have. I find myself asking others, even myself those types of questions often. I believe it’s in our nature to desire validation. We all seek approval for what we’re doing.

If you have read the “About JFashionista” section of this site or know me personally, you’ll notice I take on many roles, and continue to challenge myself to do more.
Occasionally however, I’ll wonder if what I am doing is worth the headache and heartache. Does anyone care about the things I am saying? Is my advice any good?
If there is even one person out there that is able to understand, feel, or relate to what I am saying, doing or attempting to achieve, then the answer is yes. Yes, it’s worth the struggle.
I shouldn’t be so hard on myself, or doubt myself. If I try, and it doesn’t work, I’ll just have to try another way.

To attain validation, each of us must look within ourselves for the answer. Here’s how to start:
1. Ask yourself.
What is it you want to achieve?
2. Reflect.
Take time to seek yourself and what you truly value. FYI, this could take awhile.
3. Do
Go take care of yourself. Go be a better you.
What goals will you set for yourself?

I love that elements.H dress (although for me it’d be like a tshirt!) The ribbon detailing is so cute!! I appreciate how this post is about reflecting on yourself, and what you have done, or what you have to do. I’m currently having to remind myself to do this, and that at the end of the day, the hard work is worth it. It can be difficult with different forces pushing or pulling you one way or the next, but as long as you’re happy and satisfied with what you’re doing, and you’re proud of the results, then nothing, and no one, can tell you otherwise. <3

That is great advice! I’ve found myself taking care of myself more and I couldn’t be happier. I feel like I am accomplishing more. I feel more confidant and It is starting to reflect in my style. Can’t wait to rock elements,H. This whole outfit is me – from top to bottom – love black with pops of color. The top is really interesting and not something that I had seen before – it really finishes the look by continuing the ribbons from the red shoes around the neck. Keep it up!

Good advice for sure! Sometimes we think we know what we want, but it’s good to take that moment to reflect and be 100% sure, since doubt can knock down the mightiest of people. I love the bag, it pops so well against the black dress! Can’t wait to see more 🙂

    That bag looks so cool~

It’s always important to take care of yourself, but even though it’s obvious I sometimes catch myself stressing out too much over the little things. Thanks for the advice! Hopefully I’ll remember to reflect on my actions to become a better me. 🙂
